After being degassed through a cyclone, the stream leaving the sulphonation reactor is immediately sent to the neutralization unit, which differs according to the processed feed stock.

It basically consists of one exchanger (shell and tubes type) where the stream is pumped and recycled.

Neutralization is done by NaOH with one control loop, which maintains the correct pH level.

The temperature caused by this reaction will be controlled by water which is pumped into the exchanger jacket via the dedicated control loop.
